Decrepit Euphoria is a Melodic death metal band from the Greater Hartford Area. Do you play live?
We are currently in the stages of recording a new CD. The new cd will be a concecpt album. The working title is "The Ode to Winter". This will be a much more brutal sounding album so get perpared.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that it has a possitive sides and a negative sides. However in the case of Decrepit Euphoria most of the sides are possitive except for the time our music was almost stolen from us.The most memerable thing thats ever happen to us was when "Forever She Weeps" hit #1 on the General/Progressive/Hot chart on Sounclicks.com
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We'll we are signed to Pariah Records and for being around only a year that is a great accomplishment.I could not ask for more. Although if it does let it be Century Media!!!
Band History:
It started on August 28 of 2002 in Dying Haven Studios. We mangage to be quite the decent thrash band but with all of us into different types of music we decied we had to find higher ground which tured out to be progressive/melodic/black metal. The first song we made together was "Eternal Love"(aka"Deaths Cresendo").Like most first songs we decied to show everyone we knew so in November the band deceided to make its debut in Wolfboy's basement in Newington, CT. After that night the band as a whole changed forever. Shortafter the show Juan developed "Foever She Weeps" and by that sent Decrepit Euphoria on its much needed direction to success. In March the band decied to go into the studio to record Dying Haven and cuase of finacial problems and our lack of a drummer it was put on hiatus for 4 months. untill the savior James Collazo-Recording Engineer got us back in the studio to record the acoustic version of "Forever She Weeps".Soon after dying haven was complete in August. We now have a new permanent drummer Zuck.
