Why this name?
Back when I was younger I was going to name myself Poetic then I thought "I'm more than poetic I'm on of the most poeticest girls I know" saying that as a joke but instantly if grew on me. I changed the spelling and I became Poetikiss.
Do you play live?
It's been a while since I performed my music live I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with that but my poetry I performed a few places I love performing my music and Poetry.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is changing the music indusrty because it's creating a resource for upcoming and established artist to get their music out there. It doesn't matter if you're trying to get signed or build your own independent empire the net helps you establish yourself as an artist or business. Times are changing and it's best if you can make it on your own.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In all honesty it depends. I want to establish my independent label first and foremost. I feel as a female I have to bring something to the table instead of just having my hands out wanting a deal. I also want to have creative freedom and the rights to my material so it depends what agreement a label is willing to work out (ex. joint venture deal) if no one can meet me half way I'll continue on my own.
