"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I am Banter/3.1 and I play improvised dance music for intellectual wall flowers." I've been using that intro since I started performing as b/3.1 and the descriptor is becoming increasingly accurate.
Why this name?
All of my solo work has used the name Banter in some way or another.
Do you play live?
One never really forgets a drunken 50 year old pole-dancing to C'mon everybody, do the Gesualdo!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Band History:
As of early '06 I hadn't been playing music for a few years, but I was starting to get the itch again. So, I dug out my old crappy Yamaha keyboard which happened to have a rudimentary multi-track recorder built in, and started playing and recording again. Over the last two years I've made some pretty significant improvements to my equipment which have all had an influence on the music I make.
