We live in Belfast in Northern Ireland. The singer is Sable Campbell, the guitarist is Stephen McClure and the bass player is Adam Khattak.
Why this name?
It was a long process. At one point we were forced to try to pick names by looking at stuff around the room (eg. hinge, light, rotary) and for a few weeks settled on X (picked as Stephen had a box with the brand name X-Ploder on the side). We left that name behind then, for about 2 days, were known as Northern Lights before Stephen came up with Out Of Touch.

After a while with this name, Sable chose the name of Aftermyth
Do you play live?
Have played several shows in Belfast. So far our best night has been playing a night with Angus and 70% Volume, which was organised by 70% Volume. Was an amazing show in general
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is a great tool if used responsibly. I don't agree with people downloading songs for free as their only means of acquiring music. My approach has always been if i've downloaded a few songs from the same artist which I like then I will buy their album. The added benefit of the album is better sound quality.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends how how we were promoted/how much freedom we are allowed. If people started telling us what music to make to be popular I would not be pleased.
Band History:
This is the site for Aftermyth. Our music would roughly match the genres of Melodic Metal or Alternative Rock. We are centred in and around Belfast in Northern Ireland. The guitarist is Stephen McClure and the bass player is Adam Khattak. Sable Campbell has joined Out Of Touch as the vocalist.

Stephen - He began playing the violin in primary school and was also in the choir. He continued with the violin into grammar school. It was during grammar school that he picked up the electric guitar and first began composing his own songs. He is mostly influenced by the music and playing of Randy Rhoads, Alexi Laiho, Tuomas Holopainen and Emppu Vuorinen.

Sable - A new singer with the band. Sable is a multi talented musician, and comes sharing many of the band's musical influences as well as bringing her own. Working on new material with vocals, watch this space for updates.

Adam - He picked up the bass and was taught some things to begin with by Stephen. He learnt the rest himself by playing along with music. He took his initial influences from the playing of Flea and Chris Wolstenholme, before being introduced by Stephen to other influences, such as Tuomas Holopainen, Emppu Vuorinen and Marco Hietala

Aftermyth has played across many of the clubs and bars in Belfast, including The Front Page, The Bunker, The Pavilion and The Rotterdam. They continue to receive praise from other bands and listeners alike for their ability, compositions, and for playing music which is relatively rare in the local scene.
