How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Everyone can here your music, so your art and your take on the world is fully in the public domain. Brilliant!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What's the deal? Blue note...? Mr Marsalis....?
Band History:
Jay Phelps(trumpet/voice), Nathaniel Facey (alto sax/voice), Kit Downes (acoustic piano), Tom Farmer (double bass), and Shane Forbes (drums/percussion) perform with astonishing musical maturity, confidence and a cohesiveness derived from many years of playing together. Empirical is dedicated to maintaining the roots of traditional modern jazz but has a definite finger on the pulse of the contemporary world.
