I'm guitarist with the Maria Daines Band
Why this name?
It's Maria's name so it seemed natural.
Do you play live?
Yes we've played live for many years and will soon be rehearsing a new set for 2012.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows a vast amount of people to get their music heard who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I prefer creative freedom.
Band History:
The Maria Daines band is a hard working no nonsense rock band playing original material written by Maria & guitarist Paul Killington. Hailing from Cambridgeshire, UK, they formed in 1996 becoming a fixture of the live music scene & making several TV appearances, garnering fans in over 20 countries. The concert raised over £90,000 for six animal welfare charities.
