rdk plays somewhat retro synth music.
rdk plays as if it was still 1973 and this was something new, let's not tell them otherwise please.
rdk sometimes attempts to play this material live. Usually twice a year or so. Sunday October 1, 2006 as part of Sonic Circuits 06 .

rdk has added some circuit bent instruments to the sounds.
Why this name?
the RDK is an electro-therapy device from the early 20th century. This Radio Disease Killer capitalized on the public's new facination with the miracle of radio waves.
Do you play live?
We have played at Art-O-Matic, Galaxy Hut, Nutstock II and III, Sonic Circuits, the Electric Possible series in DC, Takoma Park Planetarium, Feedback Concert series and The Floor series in Philly.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives bands the chance to create virtual albums for the public without shelling-out thousands of dollars to create an expensive product that less than 500 people would buy.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If by fluke we had a novelty hit or commercial soundtrack. Could "Popcorn" be a hit today?
Band History:
rdk is the retro-future duo of David Rickert and Davis White.
Your influences?
Kraftwerke, Mike Oldfield, Klaus Schultz, Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach, Eno, Wendy Carlos, ...the usual pornography
Favorite spot?
Actually, everyone's gone to the moon...
Equipment used:
the Rogue by Moog, Moog Voyager, Yamaha TX7, Red Sound Dark Star, Alesis NanoSynth and Quadraverb 2, PiAA effect kits, Fyrall, Triwave Picogenerator, Moogerfooger, Reason, EH Memory Man, Arp Axxe, Magicstomp, Big Muff
