My name is Dominic Luciano, and I am a solo artist. I am 15 and I have been playing piano since I was 2. I have only been producing albums since 2006. My current 2008 works are "Opposite if Normal EP", "The Last Weekend EP", and my electronica EP "One Last Dance EP". "One Last Dance EP" and "The Last Weekend EP" are still in production, and "Opposite of Normal EP" was released April 11th.
Why this name?
My parents chose it. =]
Do you play live?
I play live in my band "Furthermore", as well as with the Southern Oregon Jazz Ensemble 2. I was asked once to play in a nightclub in Chico, CA, so I did. It was fun. =]
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Lots of people hear your music faster.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they offered it and they were reliable.
Band History:
Like I said, I have been playing piano for 13 years. At one point I had the title of best high school jazz piano soloist in Oregon. This was during the Oregon Jazz Festival in 2006. I also have won several large talent shows, and am always being asked to play in clubs and with bands. Along with that, I composed a complete Jazz Ensemble score for North Medford High School that was performed early this year (2008).
Your influences?
Evanescence (Amy Lee), The Used, The All American Rejects, The Fray, AFI, My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Avril Lavigne, Paramore, Relient K, Saosin, Hawthorne Heights, Alicia Keys, A Fine Frenzy, Plain White T's, Led Zeppelin, Fall Out Boy, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra.
Favorite spot?
Wherever they want me most. =]
Equipment used:
KORG M3 Workstation, 2003 Left-Handed Stratocaster, Yamaha FG720SL Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar, KORG D1200, FL Studio 8, Adobe Audition 3.
Anything else...?
I was born October 24th, 1992 in Paradise California. Unfortunately, I was born with cerebral palsy, and because of that, I started playing piano as a means of therapy. So far it has worked =) (Duh!). I was also diagnosed in April of 2005 with a strange disease called Neurofibromatosis Type 2. Before I was diagnosed, I had to have a brain surgery to remove a large tumor, but I have also had 2 other tumors removed since being diagnosed.

But the morale of the story is never give up. It's been a hard life so far, but all I can do is put it back into my music to make something breathtaking out of a tragedy. As I told a friend once "Sometimes black and white can be the most colorful thing ever". Remember that!
