Welcome to the revolution! We are One Lucid Dream...
Why this name?
It has to do with those fleeting moments that we all have, the ones we wish would never end.
Do you play live?
The revolution always is live. Yes we play live and it is always very special and very satisfying.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The effects have already been dramatic. CD sales are at an all time low. Promotion and marketing is more in the hands of the band and fans have instant access to more music than ever. When cassettes became obsolete, I knew something ominous was at hand.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We have been signed with East Meets West Records out of Los Angeles, CA. since 2006. It is too late for would of could of now. But seriously they have been great to work with.
Band History:
One Lucid Dream was founded in 2005 by former production company employee David Miller who has worked with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy and the Sugercubes (Bjork's former band) in the late 80's. Miller writes, produces and records all the music that the band performs live. The band is based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Your influences?
Most notably but not exclusively, Laurie Anderson, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Love and Rockets, The Cult, The Cars, Skinny Puppy, Flock of Seagulls, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Gary Numan, Cabaret Voltaire, The Cure, Underworld and Meat Beat Manifesto.
Favorite spot?
There are great people and places everywhere. But as far as places go, any place with a beach and sun is always nice.
Equipment used:
Tons of hardware, software and cables. But if it's name dropping your looking for; Leslie, Korg, Roland, Shure, Samson, Les Paul, Zoom, Digitech, TC Helicon and an android named Nova.
Anything else...?
Kick butt and take names but love thy neighbor!
