THE MESSAGE FROM THE BAND (It's IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ IT):

We are the rock band from St. Petersbourg, Russia. We started playing a three or four years ago. We've played a bunch of concerts in all the biggest local clubs, performed in Moscow, and even performed at the huge Bike Rock Open-Air Festival. Now we are performing even more than before, but the problem is that no one needs the kind of music that we play in our country. We've all grown up, listening to American rock music (like Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Guns N Roses, Primus, Motorhead, Megadeth & so on) and never appreciated the Russian musical culture.
We are a 4-piece rock band. All of us are 23, 24 years old. We've all grown up in St.-Petersburg urban ghetto. We've been playing rock music and participating in the rock bands for about 10-12 years. And because of that we've earned a great experience in playin' live and performing on stage.
All we need is to leave Russia and go to the place (the country), where we can fulfil ourselves, 'cause right here, in Russia, we don't have a single chance. In Russia the musical culture is on the total decline.
We have absolutely nothing to lose and we are ready to go all the way. We aren't able (and we don't want) to do anything in our lives, except playing music. We are absolutely sure that we can succeed in this, although most of our friends and relatives think we're just wasting our time.
We are absolutely ready to drop everything and leave Russia at the first summons, 'cause nothing keeps us here.

Why this name?
We were playing under the name "LEFT BEHIND" for a long time, than we changed our name to "2nd FACE". "STALE PUNCH" is our final name, we've played a bunch of concerts under this name and recorded some nice songs! It's cool and we all love it!
Do you play live?
Yeah, we play live almost every week at local clubs like FLAT, ARKTIKA, SOUND CHE, ROKS CLUB, ROCK CAFE and so on! We played at couple open-air BIKE ROCK festival and we liked it a lot. The sound was really great!

Band History:
Stale Punch is a modern hard rock band with classic rock and thrash metal influences from St-Petersbourg, Russian Federation.
In 2006 the band was formed by Sergey "Sam" Samoilov under the name Left Behind. Year later the band started performing in local clubs as the trio. In 2008 the band changed its name from Left Behind to Stale Punch and released the Drug Addled Wrecks EP. Half of the next year Stale Punch toured St-Petersburg and Moscow local clubs and performed at the Bike Rock Open Air Festivals to support the EP.
In 2010 after a hiatus, caused by departure of the lead guitarist, Stale Punch returned to the road and the studio.

Most of all we are influenced by PRIMUS, MOJO NIXON, PEARL JAM, GODSMACK, (late) MEGADETH, (late) METALLICA, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and many, many more!
