[CyN-YoU]
-In a moment just like the first, present, and last... the still doll watches and observes from her cob web covered glass box.-
Why this name?
"Cynical Ningyou", CyN-YoU, was a name that came to me at the first thought of what to name a band that would describe mine perfectly. Cynical Doll, is a name that fits my music well.
Do you play live?
No I've never played live. I would, perhaps if I got a band together...but as of now? No.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Very much. I'm most definitely a person who thinks music needs to be avaibale on the internet. Because this thing connects any one person, to any part of the world they want. Music wise, movie , art...ect. I think that it's a great thing that there are less and less doors to try and unlock. Personally, I for one, am grateful. Because without the internet I wouldn't be a fan of any Asian music, Indian music, Latino music...it's an important thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's a thought that is exciting. But I don't really see myself signing since Music is something I do for myself, more than as a future career. I would be plently content with playing for friends and on the street.
Band History:
My project... I wanted something that was not complicated but held meaning... a sort of "container" for songs that are about things like regret, sadness, guilty pleasures, deceit, destroyed innocence, hiding who you are, and the different things and people that live inside all of us.
The theme for this band is based from Japanese visual rock. Sound wise there are no certain paths I follow to make my music. No one certain genre in mind.
I want to eventually reach every part of music, every style... because a band is just like a personality, an eclectic personality is interesting.
Right now there is only me. Sadly. I'm currently this whole band by myself. But I'm hoping to find other J-rock fans that love music as much as I do that want to give this a chance together.
It's nothing that will be stressful, I don't necessarily plan to make a profession of it, but I would like to see how far it could go, and try to have as much fun going there as possible!
As of now...my time is very strained, or I would have more music. But I work on it here and there...and when one or two finishes in the future I'll want to share it. :)
