The Jazzy Allstars have been around but are just now starting to hit the scene. The Jazzy Allstars are, C.J. Brown/Keyboards, Gary Metz/Saxes, Gene Thorpe/Bass, and James Woods/drums. The "JA's" have been together since 1999 and have recorded many originals...They are best described as an Urban/Contemporary Jazz group with an electronic edge.
Why this name?
We were called the Jazzy Allstars by our recording engineer (trackwizzard - Nirpal Tiwana)
Do you play live?
We have just begun to play live in Southern California at some local jazz clubs - we have some festivals and concerts in the works for summer 2008....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for good bands to be heard
