play lo-fi play hi-fi  Ghost
Cross the border, are an Anglo-Scottish amalgam, and is the love-child of 2 mad musicians. They met, on myspace (but that's not as good as Soundclick.com ;-P)

Sketchy - Guitar, didnt rate his own voice!

Stoo Nicol - Vocals, didnt rate his own playing!

One memorably dull night, Stoo asked if sketchy had any new tunes. Sketchy obliged and Stoo then sent him Ghost and shadows! The rest as they say is history!

Drawing from styles including Folk/Rock/Blues/Soul, its a combination of (mainly) Acoustic guitar and Powerful vocals!

Stoo has been described as having a "mighty set of pipes"!!! and Sketchy was answered when he asked "Can I kick it?" By "Yes you Can!"
Why this name?
Well it was simple really, Sketchy is from Kent in England, Mary and myself are from just outside Glasgow... so one of us has to cross the border to get to the other.
Do you play live?
We enjoy playing live more than anything, playing in Glasgow, Kent and Fife.
Your influences?
Paul Weller, Martin Stephenson, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Foo Fighters, Steph MacLeod, The Eagles, The Beatles, and many many more.
Favorite spot?
Glencoe
Equipment used:
A Martin Alternative XT, 30 year old Yamaha acoustic, Classical Guiatar, several violins (i'll get Mary to tell you about those), a shure beta 58A for me, akg instrument mics and our good selves.
