Bravura was formed in 2000 and performed their first concert in October of that year. Jonathan Besser is the principal composer, however ‘Bravura’ is really 5 composers speaking with a single voice. Improvisation is fundamental to our approach. We all contribute musical ideas, personality and energy in fresh spontaneous ways. The gender mix, the groups democracy, and it’s subtle Jewish spirit are all reflected in the music.
