I've been writing songs for ages...
Why this name?
It's my real name.
Do you play live?
Yes, I do from time to time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Obviously it does.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I was born in 1956 in Warsaw, Poland. I began playing the piano in the first grade, and studied with Professor Nela Gniazdowska in Warsaw. That time I was under strong influence of Chopin music and its remarkable performers as Edward Auer and Maurizio Pollini. I grew up by Polish folk music popularised in early 1960’ by world known Song&Dance Group Mazowsze. Later, under influence and admiration of Motown Sound I started songwriting professionally. In the next couple of years I discovered modern jazz music as the style I was born to. My first commercial recordings was made in 1985 for Polskie Nagrania record company. My first arrangements of pop songs were recorded in 1986 for Polish Radio. Since 1987 I produced soundtracks to dozens documentary and feature films for Polish TV. My original music was used by: Institute for Jewish-Polish Relations in Oxford, Finnish Television in Helsinki, Polish Radio and Television, Polish Film Agency Interpress and more. In the same time I signed some of his songs to two British publishers. I also started to produce music for advertising campaigns nationwide and my works were recorded and presented in prime time in main tv channels throughout the country. My music appeared on over 40 CD's commercially released. At present I do mainly instrumental music for television, as well as meditation music which I distribute and license on my own. My other international publishing credits include works for Canadian and American music publishing companies. I also regard myself as a successful songwriter as over 50 songs of mine were published and released. I am a member of Polish Authors' Society ZAIKS, (PRS/MCPS) and a member of Production Music Association. other sites of mine: www.pianocuts.com; www.arrsmusic.com; www.cdbaby.com/cd/rejman
