description
Steal Away was originally a spiritual song. This track arranged and performed by Philip Ashley is more classical, but stays true to the original meaning of the song.

I have been singing since the age of 6, and classical music is my first love, followed closely by musical theatre. My ambition is to sing with a full orchestra.
Why this name?
Ashley is actually my middle name.
Do you play live?
My most memorable performance was singing solo at Buxton Opera House. An experience never to be forgotten.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for music to be distributed around the world, although I do still prefer the quality of CD's.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I was offered one then there is a very good chance that I would sign it!
Your influences?
I like most types of classical music from baroque through to contemporary, and from dramatic operatic numbers to light and trippy Gilbert & Sullivan. I sing quite a bit of Strauss and some folk and traditional pieces which I've recorded my own backing tracks for.
