One4Five; the New Hip Hop Duo that making sure everyone who hears us will remember our songs. We're putting HIP HOP on blast around the nation. Beware, our beats are equipped with that heavy bass sound that tremble's the floor. Hip Hop is our movement, bringing it back to the dance scene. Check out the sounds of One4Five.
Why this name?
The group name One4Five was choosen as we used to live on 145th Street in Queens and that is where it all began for us.
Do you play live?
One4Five performs live. Some of the venues that we have performed is the Apollo, Suffolk Community College, Suny@New Paltz, Brentwood High School, Remote Lounge, Cameroon Street Cafe, Traxx Club, Don Hill, Sol, Webster Hall, and more.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Everything is digital. The internet gives everyone instance access. Viewing and downloading items are instant. It gives the consumer full buying control. Technology is great.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, because there are still so many things that I have not experience that I would benefit from with professionals at a major label. Besides we could solely concentrate on our music and not of all the other business interferences.
Band History:
One4Five is a duo consisting of two brothers: Mel & Jewlz who loves producing, creating and writing. The fulifillment is when our creations are completed and we can perform them.
Your influences?
A lot of musicians from different genres, but to name a few: George Duke, Quincy Jones, Michael McDonald, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, The Jackson Five, DMX, Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakuar, Timbarland, Ella Fitizgerald, Lena Horne, Glady Knight & the Pips, Kool & the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, and much much more.
Favorite spot?
Manhattan- Times Square: Evey thing is a cab or walk away.

Some music software: Reasons, Protools, Autotune, Recycle; motif, computer, mics, mixer, beat box, amp., interface and some other small equipment
Anything else...?
Creating hip hop songs is our passion. It is time consuming but the results makes it worth all the sacrifices. Also performing is another passion for us, we like to see the crowd embellish our songs.
