Why this name?

well i was at a friends house when i first decided to get into the hip hop biz and i needed a name and a bottle of a-1 steak sauce was in my view so i decided to be called assualt in the first degree, but i try not to promote to much violence so i just went by a-1 and akademik became my aka

Do you play live?

no i havent performed live but we will soon (MOTU) we will do big things one day the hip hop scene in sussex county delaware isnt big at all in that respect we stand out a lot but we also dont get recognized in the hip hop world

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

the internet is a good way to build a fan base, but it also makes it easier for shitty mutha f***as *cough cough (soulja boy) cough cough* to get a deal when people like me and the MOTU struggle to even get sh*** rollin

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

yeah i would sign with anyone or anything music to me is about live shows and connectin with the crowd
