The Robynna Project (featuring Zen Roads) has a theory... it's time for a change...
Our music is a melodic mix of pop/country/folk/retro-new-old school harmony group influences. We are fairly sure its unlike anything you've heard lately and we hope you enjoy it!
Why this name?
Trial and error... and threats. :-)
Other than that, it's a secret.
Do you play live?
It's very difficult to play dead, lol, although canines have mastered it quite well...
Robynna hasn't performed live anywhere recently, but her one man band Zen Roads has and does often.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Significantly changes the industry in that I think a lot of artists who have worked hard, and in independant artists cases often paid a lot of money to get their work released, they HOPE to get paid for it you know? So if you like the songs your hearing, please buy the CD to support the people who are entertaining you. :-) (ok, off the soapbox with me!)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but it would be more satisfying to me to succeed independantly.
Band History:
A lifetime in the making, this project officially began in the spring of 2003.
Your influences?
Robynna's musical influences range from The British Invasion harmony groups (Beatles, Bee Gees, Hollies) female vocalists such as Lulu, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, (Spice Girls) Dido and Pink, to old school country music, big band era, classical and dance.. Eclectic :-) I like songs with good melodies, harmonies, nice lyrics and catchy hooks.
Favorite spot?
Home... I havent seen the place I most want to see yet though..
Equipment used:
One very multi-talented musician using a lot of instruments, and a bunch of other technical stuff, and one Robynna.
Anything else...?
It's family-friendly.
