John McCoys solo projects explores the more abstract side of sound. Taking random elements such as prerecorded Tape music and computer manipulation, John works with textures and soundscapes that interact with one another to create it's own space. The pieces are more concept than song-oriented, letting things flow from tangent to tangent more easily.
John records for Soutrane Records in Milwaukee, with bands Castle Broadway and Field of Sound. His debut CD, Mobile Sound Unit, will be released early next year.
