Why this name?
5! Now You're Talking (5!NYTK) stole every name they could untill they were forced to choose this one. :(
Do you play live?
We play like we plan on dying at any moment, as though we actually expect to explode on stage (which nearly happened at our last gig luckilly we had our suspenders on!). If you've never experienced a 5!NYTK show then you're probably still able to have children.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
rubbish! and Humbug! remember before we had tacos? they haven't changed us much. i love tacos.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
you mean get paid to sell! but it doesn't always pays to sell.
Band History:
it started with pranksters who wanted to be something. we put up some posters warning people of our emminent arrival, then recorded an album, then wrote some songs, then bought our album back, rose to top of the charts formed a band got a show and exploded the music scene. All in that order. we are very powerless, don't underestimate the powerless: we had a prime time variety show; a multidollar protein factory; cornered the market on luxury Portugese hovercrafts; brought the Nintendo corporation to their knees and then lifted them back up; started a musical commune based on the Balinese Freedom Council (unfortunately that didn't go so well); invented the word "plotopifume" thereby ending a 7 year recession in Crete and averting what was sure to become a civil war; lost big money on the whole millenium bug scare, and finally paused to reflect on what it all meant.
