A skillful songwriter and re-mixer, Haz has written songs for every project put forth by fledging Villin Squad camp. The “street album” titled Strictly Business, by Rap Artist Focus contains a number of his most powerful work. Since the inception of Villin Squad - Haz growth as a writer / performer has been major. Prior to the completion of (Strictly Business) Haz locked himself away in a recording studio and began to write, sing and learn techniques that would take his music to the next level. “Having the opportunity to try out for Sean Combs “Making the Band’ and a meet and greet with Akons’ family in Atlanta has opened my eyes. This is what I should be doing” Says Haz .

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Haz began singing at the age of 10. At age 21 he performed alongside her Villin Squad cohorts as an opener for Houston , Texas elite Lil Flip. He helped to establish Villin Squad in 2005. The general public would first be introduced to Haz on Squad's Pistol City mix tape series. The Pistol City 2 project helped solidify his position among his peers. Four months later the release of Age of the empire gained Haz recognition and notoriety in the upstate New York Southern Tier region. The release of Hood 2 Hollywood mix tape hosted by Dj Izm included vintage Haz , with songs like "Move’n It Crazy," featuring Focus and production by Chris Cohen. Haz is looking to established himself as an artist and writer.

Why this name?
I decided to use my own name because its unique and means "beloved". The odd thing about it is that I used to hate my name growing up....and now I can't see myself being called anything else.
Do you play live?
I've done a lot of performances since I first started singing and I love to perform...I'm got a lot better at stage performance since i started and I definatly have more to work on. The most special moment would have to be when I performed at my college and in the middle of the performance a fan threw her bra on stage at me! Good Times!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows so many aspiring artist to get their music out to the public. Theres such a large audiance of all different types on the internet so it makes it easier to make connections and promote yourself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on the Deal I would definatly consider, but There is just so much more money that can be made by going independent!! Its a lot more work but i'm willing to learn and grind as hard an as much as I can to make it happen
Your influences?
I have so many influence when it comes to music; some of them include Marvin Gaye,Brian Mcknight,Boys 2 Men, Usher, R. Kelly, etc. Theres just so many I can't name them all. The bottom line is that i pull inspiration from all types of music and musicians....If it sounds good I can appreciate it.
Favorite spot?
I haven't been to all the places I would love to go , but the most exciting place i've been so far has to be VEGAS BABY!!
