This is a one-man operation. I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and now concentrate on recording my own music and learning how to increase my musicality. I played or programmed all of the instruments and did the recording, mixing, and mastering.
Why this name?
Gorilla Pink was a special paint color that I came up with to use on model cars when I was a kid - it was a pink color that looked like it had hair in it.
Do you play live?
I was a working musician for about 25 years. These days I just sit in with other bands when I get the chance.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Independent distribution will replace traditional recording companies. The wealth of great talent is much more accessible to everyone.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hey, at my age, anything goes.
Your influences?
Jazz, Blues, Pat Metheny, Michael Bloomfield, Jeff Beck, Beatles, Miles Davis
Equipment used:
Fender Telecaster, Sadowsky Semi-Hollow, Fender Stratocaster, Gibson SG thru a Fender Deluxe RI. For recording, Mbox 2 Pro with ProTools LE. Axiom 61 keyboard, Amplitube, and lots of plug-ins from Waves.
Anything else...?
Thank you for listening to my music.
