this is a soundclick for my 30 song demo compilation called "sequence 3 and 4"
it represents 2 new albums i am currently recording. 15 songs a piece, this is a continuous story taking place where "above and below the stars volumes one and two" left off.
i hope you enjoy. keep in mind since these are all demos, they are all entirely subject to change on the final releases. many will change in strange ways. others in more subtle ones.

Band History:
Sequence History:
January 2006; after an experiment in depression (constant exposure to bone crushingly bad films), i throw together 15 consecutive all accoustic instrumental demos on a single track tape. this becomes known as Sequence I. upon relistening to said tape i began adding song titles to the beginings of the song manually.
tracklist:
1. sand, lights and cumulo-nimbus
2. in a tall grass field under a full moon
3. i bicycled by white picket fences
4. if wind could carry woe
5. the lights of civilization from the beach
6. (as of yet untitled)
7. the orange leaves will choke you
8. the orange leaves will hold you close
9. whisper through blades of grass
10. to regard this flower as valuable
11. sun goin down (and so is my memory)
12. with large and shaking fists
13. dew on petals for us to view
14. plot the points on a graph
15. ill continue, ageless, through the infinite spectrum
spring 2006 - after writing and revising several of the songs, i began working on an untitled set of demos i now refer to as "the numbered demos". each of these songs was written in a new tuning that dana matthiessen left one of my guitars in. that tuning is: EGDGAE
as explaned by the title, the song titles were simply numbers:
tracklist:
1. 1 [to become "(h)ours"] note: there were electric and acoustic versions
2. 2
3. 3 [to become "its empty (for now)"] note: electric and acoustic versions
4. 4 (sounded alot like "somehow" from "some")
5. 5
6. 6
then i took a break and finished my album "above and below the stars volume 2"
and i contemplated more songs, while i cant remember the sequence of which they came out, the remainder of the songs were written for volume 3.
i spent many months writing, revising, editing and restructuring, and in may 2007 i put together a sort of "where im at" demo collection called sequence II, mainly consisting of "above and below the stars volume 3" material. tracklist:
1. sand, lights and cumulonimbus
2. in a tall grass field under a full moon
3. (h)ours (acoustic version)
4. i bicycled past white picket fences
5. may it find you in your time
6. the lights of civilization from the beach
7. whisper thru blades of grass
8. electric number 3 [became known as "it is empty (for now)]
9. to regard this flower as valuable
10. sun goin down
11. plot the points on a graph
12. ill continue ageless
months and months of revision and additions/subtractions created "sequence III" which shares the same tracklist as the one you see here now, save for one small change; in the place of "deep red soot blossoms" was "(h)ours".
during this period i had 7 of 15 songs written and demo'd for sequence IV, which was to follow up sequence III as a set of demos for "above and below the stars volume 4"
the story for volume 4 started to emerge in a way that demanded that "(h)ours" be on volume 4.
around december 2007 i began to wrap up the demos, refurbishing the tracklists to be polished into a (somewhat) cohesive narrative, and i added drums to the great majority of sequence III and IV.
now here they are for you to hear.
30 songs, 76 minutes.
2 albums of the future, in their "pinnochio state"
enjoy
PS- the only addition to be made to this collection is the addition of vocals to "27- supercrosby". when that is updated this message will disappear...
