Why this name?
KeepMakinEmListen or K.M.E.L was actually my old stage name. I love what it stands for so I decided to use it for the company. I now go by AZARR (short for Eleazar-Mighty Man of God) which defines who I am now.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet gives artists like myself the opportunity to pull the world in to our creations. Without the stress of finding millions of dollars to market your product. It puts the power back into the hands of the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe for distribution.
Band History:
KeepMakinEmListen Records focuses on quality and enrichment. If you are not inspired, encouraged, and uplifted after lending us your ears then we've failed! Our goal is to bring to the music world, Hip-Hop in it's purist form. Call it a revival if you will. A revival of expression. This young company was started two years ago by a young man who had a dream as a child to change the world. Only he had no idea it would be through song and service. We believe that every artist has a moral responsibilty to their listeners this is why we do not use profanity in our lyrics or produce songs that degrade women. We make music for everyone both young and old! Some have called KeepMakinEmListen, "spiritual", "a breath of fresh air", "deep", and "right on time!" We just call it music!
