I am a solo acoustic artist with backing tracks sequenced using Sonar 7. I previously was in a duo with the guitar player from my full band, "The Pawns", here in Baltimore. Dave and I played a number of all-expense-paid gigs in The Caribbean. My full band was one of the top rated "techno" bands in B-more from 1987-1997. We were into such acts as: The Cure, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, New Order, David Bowie, etc. Basically, if they had a gay or effeminate lead singer we were all over it! ;-) Dave and I wrote these 2 originals while performing as a duo. I welcome any and constructive criticism.
Why this name?
Long story short... I played in a band and had a girlfriend that adored me. She brought a friend out to see us and asked her friend what she thought of me on stage. She replied..."he's gay!" My bandmates thought that was hysterical and from then on instead of saying F U to me they just said "your gay". A few years later 2 of them were driving behind a shuttle bus with a gay flag sticker and said "hey look it's a gay bus". They then noticed the bus maufacturer was RONY. Since my first name is Ron, they told me the tale of driving behind the gay rony bus. I needed a stage name at the time since "Ron Tankersley" wasn't too catchy. So I figured what the heck...The Ronnie Buss. And it stuck.
