Why this name?
I thought it was comical. Apparently a lot of other bands did too so it is a pretty common name but every man for himself.
Band History:
This band literally spawned out of thin air. Toward the end of this year, 2007, I [adrian] was getting sick of working long hours, every day at my desk job. It was literally making me go insane. I found my mind trailing off to the most awkward of places most frequently.

On one of these monotonous days at the office, I was requested to sit through an Exonet training system - boring. Whilst sitting there thinking how simple the system appeared, I trailed off onto thoughts of Caleb Samuel's recent album. I disagreed with some of the lyrical content and wondered what it would be like if I recorded my own album for a change. I combined both ideas and decided I would create my own musical response to his creation.

I needed a catchy tune. It had to be punk, but it had to be clean enough to be taken seriously. Incidentally I was listening to a lot of Ramones at the time. I looked out the window and saw rain clouds gathering. It made me think of the song Blue Skies on Caleb's album. I decided I would produce a song quite the opposite.

It all came to me quite suddenly after this - the guitar chords, the vocal melody and the lyrics. I didn't do anything about it though for a month or two. Grey Skies just sat inside of my brain, playing over and over and over.

Eventually, I got myself together and pulled along Evan to play the drums and whipped up some demo tracks.

And there you have it - Youth in Asia was formed. That's the truth of the matter.

The CD will come out whenever we are finished.
