Band History:
Luanne Hunt is an award-winning, Grammy-balloted recording artist from Southern California, who records on the Independent label, Star Creek Records.

Throughout her illustrious career as an Indie artist, Hunt has built an impressive list of accomplishments and a worldwide fan base with her refreshing and well-crafted country folk tunes. Her 2007 CD, “Breaking Through, ” has produced two hit singles on U.S. and European Charts. The enchanting “Solace In The Wind” reached No. 1 the European Country Music Association’s chart (Belgium) in July, 2010.

The tune, which was written by Hunt’s husband Steve, peaked at No. 37 on the Indie World Country Chart, which is the largest and oldest independent music chart in the genre.

Recording industry executive Dale Kawashima, formerly of Giant and Mercury Records, named “Solace in the Wind” one of the Top Five Songs of the Month for September, 2008 on his popular website, Songwriter Universe. Additionally, the song landed on the 2009 Grammy ballot in two categories: Best Female Country Performance and Best Country Song.

In 2009, Hunt’s infectious song “The Sun’s Coming Up Over Memphis” reached No. 10 on the New Music Weekly country chart, garnering an incredible 37,000 radio spins worldwide.

"Luanne's voice is beautiful and haunting and reminiscent of a female version of Simon and Garfunkel,” said Bobby Jo Valentine of Music Worth Reviewing. “Her lyrics are powerful, her musicianship is solid, and there's simply a thousand things to love about this artist. She will be sure to go far."

Luanne Hunt began pursuing a professional music career in the mid-1990s. She found immediate success with her critically-acclaimed single “I Don’t Bother Counting,” which was frequently played on the former KIK FM country radio station in Orange County, California and on other stations throughout the Southwest. In 1996, Luanne shared the bill with Billy Ray Cyrus, Tammy Wynette, Toby Keith and Martina McBride at Starfest Country Music Festival at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds.

Over the years, many of Hunt’s songs have been played on AM, FM, Satellite and Internet stations around the world. In 2007, Luanne was featured on an “On-Air” interview on the “Steve and Johnnie Show” on Chicago’s WGN Radio. She was named “Christmas Star of the Day” in December, 2008 on Doug Stephan’s popular “Good Day” syndicated radio program.

Along with “Breaking Through,” Luanne has two other CDs, “The Singles Sessions” and “How Christmas Feels To Me.”
