Push Em' Off
Erin G. Zapata ( EGZ) hails from Abilene, Texas . He started rapping at age 10, but did not get serious until much later . His first release was, "The Grind Mode" album which was released in Spring of 2004 . Upon the release of the album EGZ went into GRIND MODE and started doing shows and performing at numerous car shows, and in doing managed to move just over 6,000 units . Not bad for a first release .
Why this name?
EGZ is basically his initials .
Do you play live?
EGZ plays live as much as possible. He has done many shows, mostly in Texas and Mexico .
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
There is so much that can be done on the internet .
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I probably would, just as long as I can have control over my music and own my masters .
Band History:
Never really been part of a group/ band . I've always gone it alone .
Your influences?
Dirty South, some East Coast, and definately West Coast. It is all good music though .
