June 6, 2006. The Lost Soulz were formed... As a band, as a label, as a clan, etc... TLS is more than just a name, its a lifestyle, a brotherhood. Once a Soul always a Soul. TLS 4 Life
Why this name?
The Lost Soulz, my boy came up with the name, from what I don't know but we just stuck with it and it grew from there.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet in my opinion has altered the way we enjoy media. Just 15 years ago everyone was buying cassettes and nobody really knew about internet and the like. Now thanks to the internet media is easily distributed all across the world. I understand P2P networks limit the possible sales but you need to understand that once money is involved with music the talent is lost. Write from the heart not the wallet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would, but only if I get creative rights to what I create and am not given severe dead lines. Perfection can't be rushed. A masterpiece is well thought out and takes time to create.
Band History:
Every 4 months or so I make a new CD and change my sound up a bit.
Your influences?
Timbaland, Swizz Beats, Just Blaze, Neptunes, etc...
Favorite spot?
The South. cant beat that Southern Hospitality
Equipment used:
FL Studio, I don't use the built it sounds. I got my own drums and such from other sources. I do often use Sytrus for synths and bass though.
Anything else...?
