NEWS   (Insert hilarious news title here):

Well, it looks like, once again, I haven't made a news post for over a year. It's been a moderately eventful year, though, so I have a few things to mention.

Firstly, I have finally been writing for a couple of games. The first you may have heard of if you're a fan of indie console games. Breath of Death VII was released for the XBox Live indie market and, from what I hear, was pretty darn highly-rated, and features title music from myself.

The second is yet to be released for a while, but will feature a much larger soundtrack featuring a few different artists and several tracks from me. It's called Moldering - look it up; there's a public tech demo out now and it looks fantastic.

The last bit of news I have isn't quite news, to be honest, but I just wanted to point out that I'm looking to get an actual website set up - it may just be some Wordpress thing for now but it would be a great help and I'm sure a few people would like to see it done.

Until next year!

Hi, I'm Take One, the unofficial music producer who's gone through more names than Live Aid. Fortunately, I have now settled on this name, but previously, I went by two names which you have probably already read by now: Dj Dragon, which I used for general music production and copyright, and, of course, Take One, for when I freelanced for some people's mixtapes, or when I wanted to sound cool. My history in music creation is a long story, but I can't be bothered to type it up right now. Perhaps I will when I have more time.

I'm open for business. Read the news item above, and, if you can't use the contact link on the left of the page, drop me a line at instead.
Why this name?
I chose the name 'Dj Dragon' partly because of an ancient obsession with reptiles. It was also influenced by the nickname I ended up with in a video game from a popular wrestling (company... thing). The name 'Take One' simply came from me wanting to sound cool.
Do you play live?
I've only ever played in a couple of music academy concerts for piano and electronic keyboard, in which students from the music college played songs from their grade (I play the electronic keyboard). The only things particularly special were the student compositions.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Currently, that depends on the label, but it's doubtful.
Your influences?
Alexander Brandon and Michiel Van Den Bos, who wrote the soundtrack for Unreal by Epic Games, are two of my favourite artists. Almost everything I write is influenced by them in some way. One of my favourite bands is Jamiroquai, and they influence my dance music greatly (although I've never made anything quite like theirs). Also, Bobby Brown goes in the dance section. Otherwise, I'm inspired by many other random things I hear.
Favorite spot?
Disney World, no questions.
Equipment used:
FL Studio 8, my Yamaha PSR 640 electronic keyboard with an M-Audio Midisport USB interface and the good, old-fashioned keyboard and mouse.
Anything else...?
I tend to work in almost every musical style I can think of, so, in the 'genre' selection, I just chose the area I work in most.
