Akwalek is a one man project of Laurentz Groen aka Navrack Hanleese. The style produced are all kinds of electronix, from ambient and electrotec to braindance and other shizzle IDM . In one year of preforming live together with his VJ Ovide he shared the stage with heroes such as Chris Clark (Warp rec. UK), Otto Von Schirach (Schematic, US), Coldcut (NinjaTune, UK) and Harry Poppins (Electrobel, BE)
Selfexpression: 22 year old lowlife from Leuven/Belgium and world's biggest dreamer and "Artista Universalis" in spirit and bone. From daily scetches on all kinds of small papers and photo's off all kind of themes till blurry and abstract pictures, movies or music. For me it is all one. One concept. One big visualization of life itself and all those wonderfull small moments in it. Being creative is a habbit. An addiction...

Why this name?
Akwalek originally was a song by Two Lone Swordsmen (Warp rec. UK) wich was one of my favorite tracks at the time i started producing. So i asked the guys if i could use the name of their song and let it evolve into a human being...

Do you play live?
Iam playing live for about one year now, iam acompanied by my personal VJ Ovide, and we shared the stage with heroes such as Chris Clark (Warp Rec.UK) Otto Von Shirach (Shematic US) and Coldcut (Ninja Tune UK)
