Elyse Haren creates intelligent, unique, addictive and gritty music that has something to say as well. Her sound overflows with passion and power, and her songs are underlined with integrity, conviction, and vulnerability.
After graduating college, Elyse fell down the "music" rabbit hole in 2000 at a Fleetwood Mac concert. Captivated by the adrenaline-fueled opening kick drum courtesy of Mick Fleetwood, the unmistakable tone of Lindsay Buckingham's guitar, the blend of lead and backing vocals, plus the roar of the crowd and the energy behind it, she hasn't looked back since.
Consumed by writing songs, playing guitar, and even some piano, bass, and engineering, Elyse loses herself in the process of creating unforgettable melodies and crafting poetic ways of expressing her most honest thoughts, topped off with a rockin' yet intimate vocal.
Elyse Haren has played shows all over LA, either solo or with her band. Past shows include: Knitting Factory, The Rainbow, The Viper Room, and The Roxy. However, recording her own home demos is where she developed her signature sound-- her own place to shine.
Elyse has written and recorded dozens of songs with different producers and through those unreleased songs found investors to match her contribution to make her first full length album. Unwilling to settle, Elyse sought out the team to make the album that deserves to be made.
After a meeting with producers Brett Chassen and Bob Kulick, the choice was clear. Both were straight-forward New Yorkers like Elyse, so they all decided to embark on making her album. She then recruited engineer/bass player Robin Holden along with guitarist Greg Pajer and drummer Blake Paulson.
This mighty bunch is currently in the studio tracking her debut full length album "Shut up and Listen!" scheduled for release in 2008. Stay tuned for new video segments in and out of the studio!

FEATURED SONG LYRICS
Never Fade Away
Ever wonder when some just pass by...
could they be the one to change your life?
What do you think, what's more how you feel?
Could you say something that would change my mind?
Are you coping, maybe hoping it would all far beneath the radar line?
When you feel stuck, you don't give a f***...
It could be just about that time,
It could be just about that time,
Burn it up
Not Fade Away
All the burning questions
Give and take
I'm wide awake
All the good intentions
never fade away
Do you take the sweet with the bitter,
when bleeding hearts can all drag us under?
Will you come out from under your radar and open your communication line?
When you feel trapped, just don't look back...
It could be just about that time,
You know it's only in your mind...
Burn it up
Not Fade Away
All the burning questions
Give and take
I'm wide awake
All the good intentions
never fade away
All the time you crawl inside your pain
You can’t fight change
Something you just can’t explain
Burn it up
Not Fade Away
All the burning questions
Give and take
I'm wide awake
Even hell is paved
Burn it up
Not Fade Away
All the burning questions
Give and take
I'm wide awake
All the good intentions
never fade away
Ever wonder when some just pass by...
could they be the one to change your life?
