I've been into music since age 10, with an old ROM-cartridge Ensoniq, then guitar, some live performance and lots of jamming.
Over the years, I've learned many skills as composer, recording engineer, mastering engineer, sound design, synth programming....

Why this name?
A roommate used to say "Heck No! It's Timmy Techno!" The name stuck.
Do you play live?
Oh yeah! Not so much recently, however (work, work, work!). I sang Howie Day's "Collide", and most of the audience told me afterward that I sound just like him. Then there was the shredding "Fur Elise" I played at school, and the many, many cover songs I played percussion, sang or played guitar for over the years. Playing live is a blast! I have almost no performance anxiety anymore!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It lets anyone, and I mean ANYONE promote their stuff.....the big boys like Sony, Elektra, and Universal still promote themselves well on the internet......with no physical product, profits are higher. Illegal downloading doesn't kill their profits, it's that CD prices are exhorbitant in a time of rampant inflation, and a lot more options where people can spend money in digital entertainment types than there was in the 80's and 90's.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. Unless I had a few years to read the shady contracts, then only if I wouldn't sacrifice artistic potentials for yet.another.pop/rap/rock.love.song.in.a.standard.chord.progression.
Band History:
I have over 800 songs in very diverse genres, thousands of synthesizer patches I've programmed, and many, many recorded samples..........
All in lieu of a love life..... :-)

Your influences?
Skinny Puppy, Xenakis, Vangelis, various girlfriend bands.......:-P
Favorite spot?
The Colorado Rocky Mountains....gorgeous, breathtaking (esp. over 10,000 ft elevation :-) )
Equipment used:
a toaster, stove, drills, reciprocating saws, microwaves.....oh wait! MUSIC equipment, right?
Lots of synths and many instruments....way too much to bore you with, so I'll spare ya' !

Anything else...?
Anything........... Well, you did explicitly say "Anything" goes here, didn't you, eh?
