I'm just a "kid" playing around in FL Studio. I made this page to get some feedback on my music.

Why this name?

It's an inside joke from college... My computer science teacher's login for his computer was "DjSlater" so I told the class that it would be name if I ever started making music. And here we are!

Do you play live?

No, I don't. This is all made in FL Studio on my computer, so playing live is kinda impossible for me, because it would just be me opening a file and pressing play...

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It allows people like me to do things like this.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes.

Band History:

I took a music theory course over summer at Stanford University, in '04. From there I wanted to make music any way I could. By mixing that with my interest in techno I knew what I wanted to do but I didn't have the means. Then I downloaded and started using FL Studio 7 in May of '07. I started making songs, my friends liked them... so here I am. I hope you enjoy them!

Your influences?

Tamerax. DJ Tamerax is my "muse" so to speak. I listen to his music and he inspired me, so I made my music. www.tamerax.com

I will also say, basically any dance/techno music, because they make me want to make my own music even more.

Favorite spot?

The internet.
