The Dambusker seriously good musicians playing great music with spirit and passion and a mischievous sense of fun".

Watching their set at Brampton Live was like stumbling across a damn good party!!"

Why this name?
We were looking for a band name for some time but in the end it felt like It chose us. Steve Dambusker.
Do you play live?
We love playing Live thats what we allways do and that is why all our recordings so far are Live.
When were not playing actual gigs you will still likely find us playing in the many jam sessions around Bideford and Appldore in Devon or maybe buskin on the street. Its where we came from and why we do what we do. We like making a living out of our art but we still cant stop after that.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
From where we are it seems to make it more of a level playing field so every one has a chance to get their music out there to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would have to see what it would feel like if a sincere and up front offer came along.
I dont really think any major label would want to go near a bunch like us anyway so if it did happen it would have to be some special understanding going on. [Steve Dambusker
Band History:
The Dambuskers go back about 4 years but we were all playing together here and there in various permutations and mostly for the fun of it long before that.
We still do in fact play in smaller sub division and with other friends now.

Your influences?
The Dambuskers influences has to be people like Water Boys, Neil Young, Levellers, pogues Tom Petty
and more But we dont sound like any of them really.
whenever you hear this band do a cover you will say "wow" thats The Dambuskers. Mainly we like our own stuff and traditional Folk but played in a way to pin yer ears back and put springs on yer feet.
Favorite spot?
I think we all have a great infinity with the wild open spaces.
Equipment used:
We are basically a fiddle band with strong belting vocals, Harmonica, Guitar, Bass, Bodhran thats The Irish drum but the most interesting percussion we have and its in our Baz's arsenal is the Caj'on pronounced Ca hon. This is a Spanish Flamenco drum that looks like a HI Fi speaker that you sit on and play.
Anything else...?
So The Dambuskers are Steve Ruffe Mainly lead Vocals Guitar Harmonica Bodhran. Chloe Watson Fiddle Vocals and Guitar. Baz Bix Percussion guitar Vocals Harmonica. Mick Pledge Bass, Guitar, Vocals
