J-Scrub hails from the West side of Columbus Ohio.
"Unlike some people, I'll never say I grew up in the hood and then you come to find out I really live in Grove City or Galloway. Me and my homies grew up in the HOOD ok? The HOOD. When I first moved in to my neighborhood, I got no respect. My bike got stolen, Got jumped on the street. All that shits real man. But you spend like 10-15 years with these cats and people start to notice you ain't going anywhere. So I paid my dues. You see mutha f***as that say they come from the hood but got all the newest clothes and sh*** on. And yeah you can say that sh*** came from dirty money but in my family, it wasnt an option. I had the clothes on my back and thats about it. From my stupid ass Flintstone Shirt, Old school Jordache jeans and some $20 converse."
J now resides on the North end of Columbus. Doing shows anywhere he can to get his music out. After many trials and even more errors with bands, He has finally gone solo for the last time.
"I kicked it with some people. We made some decent music but I always felt pressured to do sh*** I really didnt want to do, ya know? Daddy Long Legs (From Wolfpac) once laid some wise on me and said 'If you cant be happy with the music your doing then stop doing it because your just gonna be unhappy.' He said it many times and I heard it but I guess I wasnt listening...Til Now."

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its changed it a lot. Not all bad or good. Music sales have gone down since downloading illegally pirated music has become popular but for UNDERGROUND artists such as J-Scrub, It has been a blessing.
"More people have heard my music than I ever could have imagined because of the internet. Long live the internet!"
