Psychopathic Records, also known as "the Hatchet," is an independent record label based in Novi, Michigan, in the United States. Formed in 1991[1] by Alex Abbiss and hip hop group Insane Clown Posse, the label has explored many avenues throughout its tumultuous history. Joe and Joey Records was created as a subsidiary to release Psychopathic Rydas to avoid lawsuits due to the group's use of stolen beats from popular mainstream artists. Also has signed many artists in its history. In 2007 it was said that Psychopathic Records would make a sub-label called "Hatchet House", which will feature as said on Insane Clown Posse.com, 3 new underground artists. The first artists' name has recently been announced as Tali Demon.[2],and the other two are DJ Clay & Motown Rage. Violent J said that the new artists to the Hatchet House will be announced at the ICP seminar at the 2007 Gathering. At said Gathering Violent J apparently stated that the label and Anybody Killa have almost completely worked through all contractual issues and there is a good chance that he will return to Psychopathic Records.
