Jonathan “tu-jay harmoniquez” Groenewald (born in 1983) is a South African hip hop/rap artist who’s living with muscular dystrophy but out shines it with his love for music and natural born talent. Grew up in the North West (Rustenburg), released a mix-tape that got air played at the local radio station (Radio Mafisa), “battle rising” and “rhyme and controversy” which were two of the singles went on to be Number 1 for five consecutive weeks, he also helped start a hip hop movement with fellow heads (Rust_prufe). He moved back to Pretoria in search for growth and the previous release of his first album “16 bar wire” which you can find soon at your selected music stores. He’s performed at a number of recognized shows including “the heads against violence” which was an initiative to fight Xenophobia and a fund raiser for the displaced refugees that was held at Baseline in Newtown Johannesburg . He’s now busy with promotions for his album and also busy with artist development and other projects that you’ll soon hear about.
