I've been rhyming since I was like maybe 12, but I never got serious with music until I was about 18 or 19.
Why this name?
I'm Mr. Right to the ladies, and Mistah Write to the fellas! What more can I say?
Do you play live?
I like to freestyle rhyme for fun and practice. Usually I try to do it as much as I can, where ever I am. I love doing this more every day, but my stress levels fluctuate. I currently reside in the Front Range, Colorado area. This includes cities anywhere between Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado. I'd be willing to leave this bubble, but until I get rich being a rapper, I still gotta support myself some other way. I actually haven't done any shows yet, but I'm working on accumulating material so I can start performing pretty soon.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows music to be almost instantly transferred to millions of people anywhere in the world. I believe this gives artists more power in distributing their material, and removes the money from the in-efficient, money hungry record labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I was going to sign to a record contract, I would specify a lot of things to protect myself and increase the amount of creative freedom I would have. I would probably include a bunch of ridiculous junk to ensure that when I'm famous as hell, it would be worth it. ;-)
I enjoy many styles of Hip-Hop, and of course almost all other music, but I am mostly into making Rap and Hip-Hop right now.
