Dj Boogy started to mix at house parties building a reputation for himself and his crew at the time The Infamous A.O.S. who were amongst the first hip-hop Pioneers of Montreal North to be able to reach a broader audience , notoriously by opening the first hip-hop all night after hour club in Downtown Montreal in the beginning of the 90's , more than a decade ago .

Dj Boogy always had a passion for mixing and making music since he was in High School , in the crime infested area of St Michel Before the 67 reign supreme and Sans Manman would be the stepping stone for so many crew in city . But we could safely say that Break dancing , Mixing and scratching were already part of that neighborhood since the beginning of the 80's when they used to throw up Block O in the Church's Basement and the various room the old school crew could find . That was also the time of Belanger and later Master B , that straight up B-boying and B-girling movement .

Growing up listening to what the hardcore Old School , like Ice T , LL Cool J , Whodini , Schooly D , Public Enemy and the new-school gangsta rap of N.W.A. making a massive impact in the hip-hop culture , Dj Boogy knew that he had to prepare himself to play his part , especially in a Montreal of the late 80's and the Earlie 90's when black kids were the target of violent Nazi skinhead organization and police harassment .

In 1996 , Dj Boogy join the Warfare Crew as one of the father of the movement , which was consisting of self acknowledgment of the battle that lives from within to create . From there he start producing ...

In honour of one of my best friend that died , I didn't liked it at first but I kept it after he's death

Internet has really opened up the horizons for indepedant musicians , it's great
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I've already signed a couple of contract concerning the diffusion of my music and I'm open to any suggestion as long as I can feed my Daughter
