My name is Darrin Calhoun aka SlimSpitta. I'm from Houston Texas but i currently live in Natchitoches Louisiana. I have been here for 5 years and have been inspired by much in this city. I have been rapping/songwriting since i was 15. I have not only a passion but an obsession for making music. Music is my life!!!!
Why this name?
I have always been called Slim. The Spitta came from my friends saying that, "that guy right there be spittn."
Do you play live?
I perform live where ever i can get myself on stage at. I love to perform especially when the crowd has alot of energy. I feed off them and make sure that my fans have a good time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe it gives unsigned artist such as me a chance to get exposure and build a fan base. This is the first most important aspect in the industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes i would sign if the money is right. Money is not a big thing to me because i love to make music, but i'm not going to let anyone just get over on me either.

Your influences?
I like all types of music. If it sounds good and has a good meaning to it, i will most likely love it. The music is what inspires me. If it is a slow vibe i will make something meaningful, if sounds like a club beat i will come up with a club banger etc.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Miami. I also can't forget about my hometown Houston Texas.
