Welcome to the band page of CHAN P. CHAN P was born and raised in Philly and also grew up outside of Philly. She has been rapping since the age of 16 and does not limit herself to just hip-hop. She also likes techno, dance, and R&B, but please don't get it twisted her roots are in hardcore rap and hip-hop.

Why this name?
Chan P chose her bandname after an alter ego that she once used for early recordings. You will come to learn more about that later.
Do you play live?
Chan P does not currently play live, but is accepting gigs and looking for gigs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet really helps get artists the exposure that they need. With something catchy, the right people may pick you up, if it's your turn to shine.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would sign a record contract with a major label because I want more people to feel my music and to dance to it. It's about art for me.
Band History:
CHAN P IS A TRIPLE THREAT...WRITER, RAPPER, AND SINGER AND SHE'S BARELY OVER 20 YEARS OLD...She was born in PHILADELPHIA, PA. (WEST PHILADELPHIA) Growing up in poverty, her parents decided to move her to the suburbs of Wilmington, DE, where she lived until she finished school. CHAN then moved back to PHILLY, while attending college. She wrote a book titled A SUMMER WITH ARI available on http://www.amazon.com/, http://www.borders.com/, http://www.barnesandnoble.com.
