RandomAttack who was born unexpectadly during a Ouija board session, and is now the sinister alter-ego of breakbeat hardcore artist Dave Skywalker (Raindance, Moondance, Bang Face etc, see here for the Dave Skywalker soundclick page).

RandomAttack represents the embodiment of darkness, evil, and constant dread. Expect harsh beats, severe bass, distortion, and things of a f**ked up nature.
Why this name?
Why the name RandomAttack? Because it sounds cool.
Do you play live?
RandomAttack is based in Milton Keynes (just north of London) and mostly plays around London although in late 2007 is branching into the midlands. So far, RandomAttack has appeared live at Mass in Brixton, seOne in London Bridge, and (briefly) when Dave Skywalker branched into RandomAttack territory at Bang Face at Elektrowerkz in London. A partcularly special moment has to be at the RandomAttack live PA at Subliminal Discharge in March 2006. The climax of the set involved spitting a large amount of fake blood which went everywhere (the stains are still on the equipment) but succeeded in freaking out some people who weren't expecting it - job done.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Never before has music been so widespread, so successful, and so abundant.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on terms, yes.
Band History:
Dave has been producing hardcore techno and breakcore since around 1996 as a personal hobby, and has been attending hardcore techno events since 1995. RandomAttack in itself was begun through positive feedback from the Indiscriminate Records remix competition in 2004. Garry Bynon (of 10% Records) heard Dave's remix of Brazil Nuts and asked him to write a remix of a track he had created - Koala Bear. After this demand arose to hear Daves other tracks, and RandomAttack was born after some misadventures into the occult.
Your influences?
RandomAttack is much, MUCH more than just some hardcore/breakcore tracks. It's an expression of the exploration into the dark side of human nature and everything dark in nature itself.

This includes expressions in horror films and dark music, black magick and the magickal arts, demonology, satanism, unexplained phenonoma - and the dark side of the human ethos, what makes people do bad things, how twisted the human mind can get and how it is expressed.

You'll find lots of research and background information goes not into just samples used in each track, but the physical tracks themselves, and the surrounding influences. Even every influence on the label has a story behind it. Over time each RandomAttack release is due to contain lots of information in order for people to go off and explore for themselves, making it not only a record label and artist but an interactive web source of everything on the darker side of things. Whether this is a section on the Necronomicon, Spectral Analysis, Censorship, Anton Lavey, or simply just nightmares - it will all be covered.

Many musical influences are found from all areas of music, metal, hip hop, turntablism, classical, pop, dance, and more.
Equipment used:
Computers (old skool trackers, windows-based sequencers such as Acid Pro and Cubase) and numerous things inbetween, plus a whole array of VST instruments and effects. Everything from an NSPCC advert to a glass sliding along a table is up for grabs.
Anything else...?
As mentioned, RandomAttack isn't just about the music. It's much more. For example, the centre sleeve for the design of the first vinyl release featured four symbols from a larger number printed in the book of Necronomicon. Each symbol represents the name of a God, each with a diffierent power, and is pressed into wax during invocation ceremonies. The first randomattack release envisaged pressing these into the wax of the vinyl itself. As well as this, one of the tracks uses spectral analysis to imprint messages and images into the audio ITSELF, above the range of human hearing. There's always more than meets the eye.
