Hey whats going on world? My little "Spoogan North" project is just something I do for fun. I'm not looking to make money or get signed or anything, I'm just here for people to hear what I can do and am capable of and maybe make a fan or two. Thats about it really.
Why this name?
"Spoogan" was given to me in high school, and "North" is a dedication to the porn star Peter North (as well as another inside joke from my high school days)
Do you play live?
Nah, but it would be really cool if a DJ took my jams and spun them or remixed them at a club or something.. yeah that would be off the chain.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changed it for the better. People all over the world can hear any kind of music and maybe get hooked on a different genre or style of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nope. Like I said I only do this for fun, I'd rather not have someone breathing down my neck telling me how to do something the way they want when I have a completely different vision for the music.
Band History:
I started this thing back in 2003 on a Casio keyboard and just making tunes that I thought sounded alright. Since then I have expanded my taste in music, and have continued to make music up 2008. I have begun using more sophisticated computer programs as well as practicing on the keyboard / piano to fine-tune my music and hopefully draw in a bigger crowd of people.
Your influences?
I listen to a little bit of everything, but my favorite artists are the Insane Clown Posse, Akon, Faith No More, Metallica, DMX, Chamillionaire, Volbeat, and Rammstein.
Favorite spot?
Manhattan, NY. Theres just a lot to do there, and a lot of different people and cultures that can influence anyone.
Equipment used:
FL Studio 5 as well as a Casio Keyboard every now and then.
Anything else...?
