Thank you for visiting Dooley Noted and soundclick. com-

I am a singer/songwriter from Kalamazoo MI, and have been performing Blues, Rock and Folk music all over the country for over 4 years now.

Check out www.myspace.com/dooleynoted
to have a listen, and check out more of who I am as an artist.
Watch for my first full-length album "Velvet Vicegrip" releasing on December first!
Thanks for stopping by- and I hope you enjoy what you hear!

Why this name?
Alot of the songs I write come from personal experiences, or opinions based on my beliefs as a person. As I can put myself on both sides of most situations (due to my naturally contradicting personality)- I thought "Dooley Noted" would be a perfect fit.
Do you play live?
I play live very often. I'm definitely more of a live musician. Put me in front of 200 people, and the adreneline just takes over. Put me in front of a mic- alone in a room to record- watch the frustration begin. =)
This past summer- I played over four live shows a week. The best Live gig I ever played was Summerfest in Milwaukee- 2007. Over 50,000 people parusing and enjoying some of the best acts in music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Drastically. I have fans in the UK!
Without the internet- I would've had to tour for years as a popular mainstream musician to get that kind of exposure.
Now that just speaks for itself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the terms, the label, the people i'll be dealing with, and the creative control I have over my music.
Of course- signing is what most musicians wait years for. The ultimate reward for all your hard work. WRONG
The ultimate price to pay for exposure and financial backing.
I'd have to really respect and trust the label that would be signing me- i'm not just doing this to go somewhere, i'm doing this to create, just for the sake of creation.
If it allows me to live a full and comfortable life- than i'm totally down, as long as I know its right.
Band History:
I've been playing for about 6 years now- writing music for 5.
Its who I am- and its always been there.
And thats all there is to it.
Your influences?
There are so many- I can't even begin to list them off.
I will tell you though- that I respect and appreciate all forms of music. I may not like it- or understand it, But its not for me to judge. Music is expression. One of the biggest mistakes we make in life -is judging what makes others whole.
Favorite spot?
So far- I absolutely love Milwaukee. I think I'd love it anywhere if I had a good musical experience there.
Equipment used:
Just a brand new, '69 re-issue, Gibson Les-Paul. Sunburst Red.
MMMMMmmmmm.
Now thats a reward for workin' hard, if you ask me. =)
Anything else...?
I've got attitude, love of poetry, and rock'n roll.
Thats all I need to get me through.
