*****You heard me right*****
Tom Perri- " My Roland S-10 (circa 1985) has the most beautiful church bells... ever. My Angelica 12 String sounds like a hundred little angels, singing.
Give me an "Iron & Wood" Baby Grand any day over a fake keyboard with springs & stuff.
Bit-resolution & other techno-babble have no place in the new space."
Look for Tom & his truly singular vocal sound, like you've never heard it before...
"It's State of The Art, not State of the Technology.
My aim is to prove that one's & zero's are just about the dumbest idea any musician ever had. Fact is, no musician had that idea. It was a freakazoid scientist who switched on the first running computer in 1946."

Talk about "The Day The Music Died..."

What Crystal-Perfect-Digital has to do with Love,
Or making the World & the people in it a better, safer place...I have no idea.
Just wait a bit... and listen. You'll get the idea."

Sing To The Night Sky, & Angels Will Dance To Your Music
Scream at the night sky, and... who knows till you try?
Music makes you remember...Music can help you forget.
And most of the time, you never know which one you're going to get.

Do you play live?
Not right now. I'm recording my Second Album
Special moment live?...
Playing 11AM to 6PM out in the Hamptons. The Blazing Sun...Watching people get thrown over the railings into the sand by security. A 15 foot flight to a head plant, WHILE drunk. Musta' been a rush!! Jah mahn!, great funnin'!!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Digital is here. Digital is clear. But it's got nothing to do with music. The universe is Analog... All Waves & Energy Fields.
1's & 0's still have to get turned back into Sound Waves before we can hear Anything. Someplace in there, the music suffers. We need a much better answer than "Binary Digital". Mp3's & the internet have made music easier to find, share, & make. But the quality of the music has suffered, no question. Recorded Music should sound real, not 'perfect'.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Obviously, but only under the right terms.
Can you say, "Publishing Rights, Percentage?"
Can you say, "Publishing Rights, Percentage?"
Your influences?
It's been said that my music is "Eclectic Moody Pop... with orchestral underpinnings". They had to make up that pigeonhole special for me...
It's really just Tom Perri music. Some of my stuff's pretty insane, though. A New York radio announcer once asked me if I chewed Live Ammo for breakfast!
Every song paints a picture, tells a story. Everything I do is visual
A 4 minute movie in song.

Favorite spot?
Favorite Spot? "The Great Gulf Wilderness" White Mountains, NH.
Equipment used:
Keyboards mostly, My Voice, also a bunch of synths, real & sequenced percussion, a few guitars, & whatever else I can get my hands on. With a decent budget, ALL my percussion would be real. I started in rock as a drummer.
Anything else...?
Music is something you should feel. It should reach inside you & touch something deep in there. If it doesn't move you in some way... make you think about someone or something from way back, or make you dream about tomorrow's possibilities...
Even rage against today... Then it missed the mark.
Have a laugh, have cry. Have a scream.
Have a screaming-raging-laughing-cry...
If music doesn't do that, there's no point in making it.
