Certainly the biggest thing about The Ericks is the strong presence of the vibrating harmonica. A Brazilian band who sings in English, so the whole world can understand them. Each member of the band brings many influences that merge into one to form the band’s identity, defined as Folk/Rock/Pop.

In 2007, the group releases their first album, ‘’Happier Times’’. The tracks stands out by its originality and diversity, taken by example the relaxing song ‘’Tonight’’, the essentially folk ‘’Tommy Lou’’ and ‘’No Matter What You Say’’, already present everyday on one of Brazil’s best known radio, Lumen FM.

Only one month after the album’s release, the CD already sold more than 300 copies and it is present on big radio stations as 91 Radio Rock e Lumen FM. Another of Erick’s achievements is participating on two live-programs on TV-Transamerica, ‘’Upload’’ and ‘’Afternoon Show’’.

The Ericks are playing intensively in their country’s indies circuit. Recent concerts include: Porão Rock Club, Radiola Alternative, Korova, Soho, 92 Degrees, Pandora, Motorrad, Café Curaçao, Cine Bar, Vox Bar, among others. They have also participated on prestigious rock festivals such as ‘’Curitiba Rock Fight’’ and the ‘’National Garage’’.

Every concert begins with Macedo’s (vocals, harmonica) first cry of his harmonica. Wearing a curious harmonica belt over his chest, the charismatic Macedo lead the Ericks towards another show. Followed by Guina (drums and percussion), who sets the band’s rhythm with his high spirit beats. Paulera (guitar and backing), always excited, and the mysterious Hulan (guitar) set the mood of the show. The final touch comes with Jerry (bass), with his notoriety for outstanding performances.

Their originality shall lead them to the world.
