Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years since I've been able to press a single key or hold an instrument I've always been intrigued and would always want to learn... keyboards, recorder, clarinet, xylophone (hehe), the guitar... I admit I don't excel at any of these instruments but who said there was anything wrong with knowing a little about a lot? :)
Why this name?
Shawie is actually my nickname.
Do you play live?
I don't play live much... but I have with my friends. I'd love to play live more, but I would need to learn more and be more comfortable with the guitar. I'd also need to find the right people to perform with me because I don't really feel the idea of being a Solo act.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's great that it makes the "unsigned" community a lot easier to share and get their music out there.
I think that music will always be part of life but technology is constantly changing and I'm very confident that some day mp3's/CDs will be just like how records/vinyls are now.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think so - if I'm playing with the right people, support from family and friends, and I'm comfortable enough I'd probably go for it.
Your influences?
Someday I would love to be able to play similar styles as Mark Tremonti, Santana, Joe Satriani... but I know it would take a lot more time and dedication to get even close to their level.
