This is Real Spit. Real Music. By a Real Dude. Black and Colombian and a Beast on these Beats. The garbage on in the top 100 is slowly gonna meet it's demise. Why this name?
I got the name Big Soop when I fell and became a casualty in America's war on Drugs. It fits though, one part Campbells Thick and Chunky, good for whatever ails ya. And one part Soopaman. The Man of Steel and all that.
Do you play live?
I do do live events. Biggest was a gig when I was in High School. I went over to Russia on a leadership conference and there was some talent competition and I got on stage with two other Americans and we did a song for people who probably had no idea what we were saying, but they were feeling our energy anyway.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the game completely. It's not really a change for me because this internet, mp3 game will be the only game I know, until something better comes along.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would think very seriously about it. I love the machine that a major will provide you but I am learning that you have to grind just as hard to get major notice. It's not about talent it's about hustle.
Band History:
Naw no cut and paste with me. This is original thought and original work. Good Game, which is timeless, was given to me through the people places and things that I have been blessed to encounter over my short life. It's wisdom, loyalty and sucess that I ascribe to and which embody me. You will see my story unfold before you.
Your influences?
I've got too many to mention. I love real music and I think real music comes out of real people.
Favorite spot?
In all my travels I gotta say I loved Providencia, Colombia the most. Can you say 6lb Lobsters, I'm just sayin.
